Have you heard about Mercury Retrogrades before? If not, let me tell you it is an excellent bit of information to have under your belt, especially when you are experiencing issues with communication, technology, decisions, or ex's contacting you.
Mercury retrogrades occur 3 to 4 times a year. From our point of view here on Earth, it looks as if the planet Mercury is spinning backwards, but it isn't actually spinning backwards; it is an optical illusion. During this time, many people on Earth will experience energetic changes that can impact several areas of our lives.
Mercury is responsible for all things communication, technology, clear thinking/ decision making and travel. So when Mercury is in retrograde, these areas of our life are notorious for having some issues arise, which can leave us feeling pretty flat. It is also a time where we may relive past hurts that may have been left unresolved, e.g. ex's tend to contact you during a Mercury retrograde.
Now it's not all bad; there is a silver lining to a Mercury Retrograde. Mercury is all about bringing unresolved issues to the surface to encourage us to resolve them, learn a valuable life lesson or make a change to create inner peace for ourselves.

2nd Mercury Retrograde of 2022:
- Pre-shadow period: 26th April to 9th May 2022
- Retrograde: 10th May to 2nd June 2022
- Post-shadow period: 3rd June to 18th June 2022
3rd Mercury Retrograde of 2022:
- Pre-shadow period: 20th August to 9th September 2022
- Retrograde: 10th September to 1st October 2022
- Post-shadow period: 2nd October to 17th October 2022
4th Mercury Retrograde of 2022/ 1st Mercury Retrograde of 2023:
- Pre-shadow period: 12th December to 28th December 2022
- Retrograde: 29th December to 18th January 2023
- Post-shadow period: 19th January to 3rd
